Nirnaya, was the first women’s fund set up to make a difference in the lives of the marginalized women of urban and rural India and enhance their decision-making capacity.

Nirnaya believes that poverty, deprivation of all basic rights and social discrimination affect women the most and addressal of this will impact the society in a positive and most sustainable way.

Nirnaya aims to recenter women by making them economically and socially strong. It helps them form self-help groups for their social and economic empowerment, enhances their skill base, promotes entrepreneurship and other livelihoods.It is also in the forefront of educating women and girls thereby creating awareness about their legal and other rights and helps them claim a rightful place in society.
